In line with the directives of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, the college’s service and agricultural staff have completed the landscaping of the backyard of the Department of Theoretical Sciences with natural grass, creating a recreational and sports-friendly environment for the students.
The courtyard was fully covered with natural grass according to the required specifications and equipped with an integrated sprinkler system. It was ready for use at the beginning of the 2025–2026 academic year.
Dr. Fatima highlighted that the college has, over the past period, completed the greening of many of its gardens and playgrounds with both natural and artificial grass, giving the campus a more aesthetic and vibrant appearance while eliminating barren spaces and turning them into beautiful green areas.
This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
